Washington, DC – Today, Congressman Michael Guest (MS-03) voted against H.R. 3 – the Lower Drug Costs Now Act of 2019. Congressman Guest's primary concern was the likelihood that the bill would result in the creation of fewer cures and hinder the development of new drugs to treat illnesses. Recent reports indicate that over 100 cures could go undeveloped if Nancy Pelosi's bill were to become law.

Trump requesting full consideration of Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant's request for a major federal disaster declaration in the wake of devastation from straight-line winds and flooding caused by Tropical Storm Olga in October.

Washington, DC – Today, Congressman Michael Guest (MS-03) commended the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Foreign Agriculture Service for its work to reopen the Chinese poultry market to American farmers. United States poultry and poultry products have been banned by the Chinese government since 2015. The end of this ban will reopen a large export market for American poultry producers.

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senators Roger Wicker, R-Miss., and Cindy Hyde-Smith, R-Miss., and Representatives Steven Palazzo, R-Miss., and Michael Guest, R-Miss., today announced the award of $33.1 million in federal grant funding for road improvements in Gulfport and Starkville. The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) will provide a $20.46 million Better Utilizing Investment to Leverage Development (BUILD) grant to assist with construction of a new roadway and overpass in Gulfport and another $12.66 million to support road improvements along MS Highway 182/MLK Drive in Starkville.

Washington, DC – Today, Congressman Michael Guest (MS-03) voted against the resolution proposed by the Democrats to establish the House of Representatives' impeachment process. The House Resolution passed the House on a 232-196 vote.
Congressman Guest reconfirmed his stance against the impeachment inquiry. "It is apparent by the process the Democrats have proposed that they have no interest in transparency, fairness, or due process.
