The resolution was introduced ahead of National Police Week and recognizes the 363 officers who lost their lives in the line of duty in 2025, as well as those whose stories were previously lost. H. Res. 1252 passed the United States House of Representatives with overwhelming bipartisan support.

Washington, D.C. - Yesterday, the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 4071, the Combatting International Drug Trafficking and Human Smuggling Partnership Act of 2025.
Washington, D.C. - As of October 1, federal funding has lapsed and the government has entered a shutdown. On September 19, Congressman Guest voted for, and the House passed, a clean funding extension through November 21, but the Senate has failed to act. As a result, many agencies are operating at reduced capacity, while core programs required by law continue.
