Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Michael Guest (MS-03) voted against H.R. 2500, the House of Representatives' version of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2020, which passed the House on a 220-197 vote. The United States Senate passed its own version of the NDAA, which differed significantly from the House bill, on a vote of 86-8. The Democrat Majority's House version has been criticized for reducing funding to military personnel, cutting programs meant to deter Chinese and Russian meddling in U.S.

Res. 383 with Congressman Peter King (NY-02) to recognize National Police Week and to honor the men and women who serve in law enforcement. Congressman Guest introduced the bill on Peace Officers Memorial Day, a date designated by President Kennedy to acknowledge and honor the sacrifices made on a regular basis by law enforcement members.
