Washington, D.C. – Congressman Michael Guest (MS-03) announced that his office will participate in the Congressional Art Competition for the second consecutive year. High school students in Mississippi's Third Congressional District are invited to submit their artwork for the competition, through which one piece of artwork is selected as the winner and will be displayed in the United States Capitol for one year.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Michael Guest spoke on the House floor against the New Way Forward Act, a bill intended to "reform the process for enforcing the immigration laws of the United States." The legislation would establish numerous new protections that illegal immigrants could claim for immediate release into the United States. In addition, the bill would drastically reduce the authority local and state law enforcement officers have to enforce immigration laws in our communities.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Michael Guest (MS-03) highlighted the importance of improving security measures for nonprofits, 501(c)(3) organizations including houses of worship, and supported steps taken by the Administration to advance prevention of violent acts targeting faith-based institutions. The Nonprofit Security Grant Program expands access to funding opportunities that can help nonprofit organizations enhance their security systems.

Today, U.S. Reps. Angie Craig (MN-02), Pete Stauber (MN-08), Dean Phillips (MN-03) and Michael Guest (MS-03) introduced bipartisan legislation to require an examination of the health and economic impacts of skyrocketing insulin prices. The bipartisan bill would require the government to study and report the scope of the problems created across healthcare by the rise in insulin costs, which are up more than 600% in recent years and have increasingly led to patient rationing of the drug.
