Congressman Michael Guest Announces First Caucus Membership: The Congressional Prayer Caucus
Washington, D.C. – Congressman Michael Guest (MS-03) announced his first caucus membership will be the Congressional Prayer Caucus. The Caucus is bi-partisan, bi-cameral and includes a membership of more than 70 Members of Congress. Congressman Mark Walker (NC-06) has chaired the caucus since January 2017. Founded in 2005, the Caucus has advocated for legislation promoting religious liberties and prayer.
"My first caucus choice is the foundation from which I will build other caucus memberships," Guest said, "Faith and prayer have been the cornerstone of my life as a Christian husband, father, and prosecutor, so the decision to join the Congressional Prayer Caucus stems from my own personal belief in the power that prayer can have to shape the future of our nation. I am honored to join a group of Congressional leaders that promotes prayer not only in Congress, but across our nation."
Congressman Guest is a member of Brandon Baptist Church where he serves as a Sunday school teacher and deacon. For more information on the Congressional Prayer Caucus you can visit the following links:
