January 25, 2019

Washington, D.C. – Following the announcement of his appointment to the Committee on Homeland Security, Congressman Michael Guest (MS-03) announced that he would join the Congressional Border Security Caucus. This is Congressman Guest's third caucus selection, following his membership in the Congressional Prayer Caucus and the Congressional Pro-Life Caucus.

Guest said that border security will be a priority during his first term, "As a member of the Committee on Homeland Security, securing our borders – primarily our southwest border – will be one of my top priorities and an issue of the highest significance for the 116th Congress," Guest said. "By joining the Congressional Border Security Caucus, I'll work with other experienced Congressmen to support solutions that curb the flow of harmful narcotics across our southwest border and solve the humanitarian crisis that exists there."

The Congressional Border Security Caucus is co-chaired by U.S. Representatives Brian Babin (TX-36) and Andy Biggs (AZ-05). The caucus meets monthly with policy experts to discuss solutions to improve border security.
